WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Council of
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, a Petition by Jim Pugh,
Harvey Turner and Racine Turner to vacate the following street:
That portion of Van Buren Avenue abutted by Lot 5
in Block 178 of the George T. Kendal Subdivision
in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, and by
Lots 20, 21 and 22 in Block 169 of the George T.
Kendal Subdivision in the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, as shown on plat of said subdivision in
Plat Book 1 at page 2h3 in the office of the
Recorder of Crittenden County, Arkansas, the
portion of said street to be vacated lying east
of the east line of 21st Street and west of
drainage ditch as shown on said plat; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City Council fix a day
for the hearing of such Petition and to direct that the City
Clerk give notice of such meeting by publication once a week
for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the
county and having a general circulation in the City of West
Memphis: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
That the 47'~ day of ~ 1982, at 1:30
P. M., be fixed as the date and time for the hearing of said
Petition and that the City Clerk give notice of such meeting
by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some
newspaper published in the county and having a general cir-
culation in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas.
