CHARLIE B. WATSON
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of
West Mem his Arkansas have been saddened to learn that

one of our most outstanding citizens plans to move to the
State of Florida; and,
WHEREAS, the citizens of West Memphis have been
honored for a number of years by the decision of Charlie B.
Watson to make West Memphis, Arkansas, his residence; and,
WHEREAS, a large number of citizens of the City of
West Memphis have followed the daily sportscasts of
Charlie B. Watson on Channel 13, and eagerly received
hi.s news and forecasts with a great deal of pleasure and
satisfaction; and,
WHEREAS, Charlie B. Watson is going to terminate
his association with Channel 13, Memphis, Tennessee; and, will
cast his future with the great State of Florida;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'i'HE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The Mayor and City Council wish to express their
appreciation for the decision of Charlie B. Watson to make
'` West Memphis, Arkansas, his home for the past number of years;
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
2. The City of West Memphis wishes Charlie B. Watson
great success in his new endeavor, and regrets his departure
from our City.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to
Mr. Charlie B. Watson, 1614 E. Barton, West Memphis, Arkansas.
