BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST 11~EMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That a tax of one (1) Mill upon the dollar for
Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund, be and hereby is
levied upon the assessed value of all real and
personal property within the limits of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas; and,
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to deliver

a certified copy of this Resolution to the Clerk of
the County Court of Crittenden County for the tax books
for the year, 1982.

RE: Firefighters Pension & Relief Fund
There are 22 firefighters and widows drawing pensions from the
Firefighters pension fund in the amount of $10,992.95, per month,
$131,915.40 annually.
There are 9 additional firefighters that are eligible for retirement,
and should they decide to retire it would increase our pay out $7,508.50
per month, $90,102.00 annually.
Our pension is not acturailly sound, therefore we request the one
mill tax for pension fund.
