WHEREAS, the West Memphis Senior High Football Team
of 1982 was runner-up in the State Finals in the AAAA
Conference in Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis
is pleased to have a Football Team make such a successful
record in the year, 1982, in our State; and,
WHEREAS, GRAFTON MOORE has been Head Coach and has
coached the West Memphis Senior High for five (5) years;
and,
WHEREAS, COACH GRAFTON MOORE was instrumental in
producing the leadership that caused the effective success
of the 1982 Football Team; and,
WHEREAS, COACH GRAFTON MOORE has been coaching for
fourteen (14) years, having graduated from "Ole Miss"
in 1969; and,
WHEREAS, the West Memphis City Council wishes to
congratulate COACH GRAFTON MOORE on his successful Football
Team;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, highly commends
COACH GRAFTON MOORE for his successful Football Team
which was runner-up in the State Finals in the AAAA
Conference in the State of Arkansas; and, wishes
COACH GRAFTON MOORE many many more successful football
seasons.
