City sales tax for April was $533,351.17 compared to $519,497.99 last year. County
sales tax for April was $140,304.08 compared to $155,529.281ast year. For the first 4
months of this year, sales tax is $192,474.83 below budget or $577,424.52 for the year
based on current trend.
The committee will be reviewing the next three months to see if the trend has improved
and if necessary work with administration to lower expenses more in line with actual
revenue.
Department heads are working with Federal agencies to recover any expenses possible
from the storms.
