AN ORDINANCE TO PERMIT CITY EMPLOYEES TO PURCHASE
SERVICES FROM MIKE NELSON AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, State Statute 14-42-107 states that in order for employees to
conduct business with the City, that is necessary that an Ordinance be passed by the
Governing Body, specifically permitting employees to conduct business with the City and
prescribing the extent of such authority.
WHEREAS, Mike Nelson is an employee of the City of West Memphis in the
Fire Department and that Mike Nelson is also in the business of furnishing and servicing
Vending Machines and, from time to time, the City of West Memphis is in need of such
services.
THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That authorization be given for the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas to be furnished with Vending Machine services by Mike Nelson.
