AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 1565 AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 1565 combined the offices of City Clerk
and City Treasurer into the office of Clerk-Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Section 1 of Ordinance 1565 provided that Ordinances
119, 213 and 214 were to be repealed upon the establishment of the
position of city clerk-treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 119 pertains to matters in addition to the
positions of City Clerk and the City Treasurer and only Section
2(B) and Section 2(C) of Ordinance 119 should be repealed upon the
establishment of the position of city clerk-treasurer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 1565 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Ordinances 213 and 214 and Section 2(B) and Section 2(C) of
Ordinance 119 are hereby repealed effective upon the
establishment of the position of city clerk-treasurer.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
