AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 1.1.16-ACRE TRACT LOCATED IN
THE SW 1/4 OF SECTION 2 AND A 0.69-ACRE TRACT LOCATED
IN THE SE 1/4 OF SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 8

WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning
Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property and after
notices having been published for the time and in the manner as
provided. by Ordinance No. 1258, as amended, the matter was heard
by the City Planning Commission and no persons appearing to
protest the same the Planning Commission recommended that said
applications be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section I: That the following described property located in
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to-wit,:
A 11.16 acre tract of land lying i.n the SW 1/4 of Section 2,
Township 6 North, Range 8 East, being more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of
said Section 2, thence north 1 degree 04 minutes 30 seconds
east along the west, line of said Section 2 and the
centerline of Drainage Ditch No. 13 a distance of 127.21
feet to its intersection with the south right-of-way l.i.ne of
Interstate Highway No. 40, thence along the south right-of-
way 1_ine of Interstate Highway No. 40 the following calls:
north 75 degrees 52 minutes 46 seconds east 238.31 feet,
north 81 degrees 37 minutes 57 seconds east 511.96 feet,
north 73 degrees 30 minutes 51 seconds east, 200.56 feet,
north 69 degrees 13 minutes 30 seconds east 500.0 feet,
north 63 degrees 30 minutes 51 seconds east 83.21 feet to
the northwest corner of Phase II - Second Addition, North
Richland Subdivision to the City of West Memphis, thence
south 23 degrees 54 minutes 06 seconds east along the west
line of said North Richland Subdivision a distance of 179.86
feet to a point, thence south 1 degree 04 minutes 30 seconds
west along the west line of said North Richland Subdivision
a distance of 395.73 feet to its intersection with the south
line of said Section 2, thence along the south. line of said
Section 2 and the centerline of Drainage Ditch No. 14 a
distance of 1540.01 feet to the point of beginning, and
being in the 1500-1798 blocks of West I-40 Service Road,
Interstate Highway No. 40,
be, and the same is hereby, re-zoned as R-4 Medium Density
Residential District, and that the following described property
located i.n the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to-wit:
A 0.69 acre tract of land lying in the SE 1/4 OF Section 3,
Township 6 North, Range 8 East, City of West Memphis,
Crittenden County, Arkansas and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the SE corner of said Section 3, thence north 1
degree 04 minutes 30 seconds east along the east line of
said Section 3, and the centerline of Drainage Ditch No. 13
a distance of 127.21 feet to its intersection with the south
right-of-way ]_ine of Interstate Highway No. 40, thence along
the south right-of-way line of Interstate Highway No. 40
South 75 degrees 52 minutes 46 seconds west a distance of
485.33 feet to a point, thence south 88 degrees 55 minutes
30 seconds east a distance of 468.36 feet to the point of
beginning, and being in the 1800-1898 blocks of West T-40
Service Road, Interstate Highway No. 40,
be, and the same is hereby rezoned C-2 Open Display Commercial
District.
SECTION II: That all. ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is hereb ared by
