ORDINANCE NO. /6~I!
AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR A ONE YEAR
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH QEI AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SPONSORED BY:
WHEREAS, A.C.A. Section 14-58-303 allows waiving of competitive
bidding in exceptional situations where such procedure is deemed not
feasible or practical; and
WHEREAS, there are many items necessary for the City's use where
~~-' competitive bidding is deemed not feasible or practical; and
WHEREAS, the Electric Department is in need of purchasing a one
year maintenance agreement from QEI for the maintenance on the Scada
System and this is the sole source that provides maintenance for this
system, and competitive bidding under such circumstances would not be
feasible or practical;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That competitive bidding be waived for the following item to
be used by the City, described as follows:
Maintenance Agreement from QEI in the amount of $5,165.00.
