AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE ALDERMEN AND MEMBERS OF THE GITY COUNCIL
TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES, EBUIPMENT AND SERVICES FROM BURROUGHS GLASS
WHEREAS, State Statute 14-42-107 states that in order for Aldermen or
Members of the City Council to conduc t business with the City, that it is

permitting Aldermen or Membe rs of the City Council to conduct business with
the City and prescribing the extent of such authority;
THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEM-
PHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1_ That authorization be given for the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, to be furnished supplies, equipment, or services by the BURROUGHS
GLASS COMPANY, West Memphis, Arkansas) ca.v~ a--~--~raa,~.e~,r s~+'~~~-es by ~w.~.~..5 ~~o .
SECTION 2- It being found and determined by the City Council of the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that there is a need to buy glass locally from
the BURROUGHS GLASS Company, and it is necessary for the City Council to
authorize such purchases, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of West Memphis, Arkan-
sas, shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
