AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL PERMITTED USE FOR A NON-_
PROFIT GROUP SHELTER ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 532-534
SOUTH SIXTEENTH, ALSO KNOWN AS LOT 17-18, BLOCK 138,
KENDAL SUBDIVSION.
WHEREAS, Application was made to the City Planning
Commission of West Memphis, Arkansas to allow a Special
Permitted Use of the hereinafter described lands for the
development of a Non-Profit Group Shelter Facility (per
Zoning Ordinance No. 1258, as amended); and
WHEREAS, Notice of said hearing has been published
for the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance
No. 1258, the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission on February 22, 1995, and upon the matter
being heard by the City Planning Commission and due
consideration given thereof the City Planning Commission
recommended that said Application be granted provided
the following stipulations were agreed upon by the
Applicant, to wit:
(1) Document showing proof the Non-Profit
Group Shelter Facility has a Non-
Profit status.
(2) Floor Plan of Group Shelter Facility
and site plan of said property.
(3) Documents stating number of staff
members and number of residents
in Shelter Facility not to exceed
city ordinance.
(4_) Adequate staff parking and one space
for each bedroom as shown on the floor
plan.
(5) No sign will be allowed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNzIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property,
to wit:

532-534 South Sixteenth
Lots 17-18
Block 138
Kendal Subdivision
be, and the same is hereby, granted a Special Permitted
Use allowing and permitting the use of the aforedescribed
property for the development of a Non-Profit Group Shelter
Facility thereon in an R-2 Low Density Residential District.
SECTION II: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
