ORDINANCE NO. ~ `~
AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY
IN THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, KNOWN AS
1400.1800 E. SERVICE ROAD, I-40 & 55; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, an application was made to the Planning Commission of the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, for rezoning certain property within the City, as
provided by Ordinances of the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, notice was duly published on April 4, 1995, that a hearing
would be held by the Planning Commission at 3:30 p.m. on Apri126, 1995, and at
said meeting and by the application previously submitted it was requested that the
following property be rezoned from C-1 General Commercial District to C-2 Open
Display Commercial District:
NW%a of Section 5 South of R.R. R/W, Township 6 North,
Range 9 East, containing 16.13 Acres;
NW%a of the SW'/4, Section 5, Township 6 North, Range 9
East, containing 40.54 Acres;
SW'/4 of the SW%4 North of I-40 & 55 R/W, Section 5,
Township 6 North, Range 9 East, containing 34.86 Acres.
Known as 1400-1800 E. Service Road, I-40& 55.
WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against said zoning as
requested; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of West Memphis
approved said Petition and recommends that said rezoning be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CQUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS:
Section 1. That the following property now zoned as C-1 be, and the same
is hereby, rezoned as C-2 Open Display Commercial District:
NW%a of Section 5 South of R.R. R/W, Township 6 North,
Range 9 East, containing 16.13 Acres;
NW'/4 of the SW%4, Section 5, Township 6 North, Range 9
East, containing 40.54 Acres;
SW'/4 of the SW'/4 North of I-40 & 55 R/W, Section 5,
Township 6 North, Range 9 East, containing 34.86 Acres.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
