AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTIES FROM PBP AND
R-1 TO I-1 ON PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN THE BURLINGTON
NORTHERN RAILROAD AND SOUTHLAND DRIVE, ALSO KNOWN AS
THE 2150-4100 BLOCKS OF UNDEVELOPED PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to
rezone the hereinafter described property, together with thirty-four (34}
acres, more or less, owned by the petitioner lying north of the
Burlington Northern Railroad, and after notices having been published for
the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258, as amended,
the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission on May 31, 1995, and
the vote was seven ( 7 ) for the approval and zero ( 0 ) against the approval
of the application, following the petitioner agreeing to exclude the 34-
acre tract heretofore referred to from the application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
Section I: That the following-described property located in the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to-wit:
The 2150-4100 blocks of undeveloped property
between Southland Drive and Burlington Northern
Railroad, also known as: The Northeast Quarter
(NE1,~) of Section 5, Township 6 North, Range 9 East;
and that part of the North Half (N~z) of Section 4,
Township 6 North, Range 9 East, lying west of the
Ten Mile Bayou;
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned from PBP to I-1 Limited Industrial.
Section II: That the following-described property located in the
City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to-wit:
The 2150-4100 blocks of undeveloped property
between Southland Drive and Burlington Northern
Railroad, also known as that part of the North Half
(N~i) of Section 4, Township 6 North, Range 9 East, '
lying east of the Ten Mile Bayou, except for any
part thereof that lies north of the Burlington
Northern Railroad;
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned from R-1 to I-1 Limited Industrial.
Section III: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
