Commissioners were informed of Paymentus Contracting Credit Card
Services for the Office, which would allow customers to pay utility bills
anytime of the day either by credit or debit card by third party, then one
check would be presented to the Utility. City Attorney David Peeples stated
he would like for the Utility Commissioners to review the contract before it
is approved at next month's meeting.
Commissioners forward a Settlement Agreement between an employee and
the Utility Commission for approval. David Peeples and John Wilkerson
with Municipal League worked on the Settlement which was a result of an
EEOC claim. The Settlement is no admission of guilt, and will allow the
employee to participate in the apprenticeship program in the electric
program.
