AN ORDINANCE ATTACHING AND INCORPORATING CERTAIN
DESCRIBED ANNEXED TERRITORY TO WARD TW ~ OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, A.C.A. §14-40-203 requires that when any territory
shall have been annexed to any incorporated town or city, it may
be, and it is the duty of the town or city council of the
incorporated town or city ~:o attach and incorporate the annexed
territory to and in one (1) or more wards of the incorporated town
or city lying adjacent therE:to; and
WHEREAS, the following described territory has been annexed to
the City of West Memphis and is adjacent to Ward ~'W o of the City
of West Memphis:
A Tract of land lying in the W'~ of Section 24,
Township 6 North, Range 8 East, Crittenden
County, Arkansas, being more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said
Section 24, thence South along the West line
of Section 24 a distance of 1980 feet to the
Northwest corner of the S~ S~ NWT of Section
24, point also being on the existing city
limits of West Memphis; thence East along the
North line of the S~ S~ NW~a of Section 24 and
the existing city limits a distance of 1312
feet; thence Soutli a distance of 1490 feet to
a point on the ce~iterline of abandon Missouri
Pacific Railroad; thence in a Southwesterly
direction along s~iid centerline a distance of
1504 feet; thencE: North a distance of 2240
feet to the point of beginning, containing 56
acres more or les:~.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED SY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:

SECTION 1. The ab~~ve described territory is hereby
attached and incorporated t.o Ward T w o of the City of West
Memphis.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
