0614 RESOLUTION NO . a/OV
WHEREAS , the City of West Memphis , Arkansas , desires
to assist in the promotion of the classes of the Arkansas State
University held in West Memphis , and
WHEREAS , it is necessary that some study be made of the
facilities and capabilities of the potential students of
West Memphis , Arkansas , to determine the feasibility for expansion
purposes , and
WHEREAS , the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville,
Arkansas , is capable of making such a study with no expense to
the City of West Memphis , Arkansas ;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
lbw CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS , ARKANSAS , THAT :
1 . The University of Arkansas be requested to make a
study as to the facilities and future capabilities of the
potential students of the Arkansas State University, West Memphis
Campus ;
2 . A copy of this Resolution be sent to Mr . Hugh
Chalmers , Jr . , Trustee, University of Arkansas , and to request
his assistance in securing the services of the University of
Arkansas in this project .
