WHEREAS , GEORGE CRAIG, and others , filed a lawsuit in
behalf of some of the Policemen of the City of West Memphis ,

Arkansas , alleging that the Civil Service Act as it applies "-...1445
to West Memphis , Arkansas , is unconstitutional ; and,

WHEREAS , some decision should be made for the continuance
or abolishment of the Civil Service Commission;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS , ARKANSAS , that the City Attorney be
instructed to answer this lawsuit and let the courts decide
