RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PRE-APPLICATION FOR
SMALL CITIES PROGRAM FUNDING - 1978
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of making application to the
Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant of funds
to carry out a variety of community improvement activities under
the Small Cities Program as authorized by the 1977 Amendments to
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS on the basis of the evaluation of community development
needs it is determined that the City should submit a Pre-Application
for a Multi-Year Comprehensive Program Grant in the amount of
$1, 500,000 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS.
1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to submit in
behalf of the City a Pre-Application for Small Cities Program Grant
under the Community Development Program on Standard Form 424 together
with related maps , forms and narrative.
thy 2 . That the amount of the Pre-Application shall be $1,500 ,000
under the Multi-Year Comprehensive Program.
3 . That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
