0642 RESOLUTION NO. 642
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arknasas on July
13 , 1978, suffered one of its worst disasters from water and
wind damages in the history of our city; AND,
WHEREAS , the members of the West Memphis Street Department
performed long hours in cleaning up the debris , rubbage, broken
limbs and trash on our streets; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas is indeed
grateful for the fine work performed by the men of the Street
Department appreciate the efforts that they did to clean up
our city;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS :
1. That the City Council of the City of West Memphis ,
Arkansas, commends the outstanding job performed by the West
Memphis Street Department on July 13, 1978, and are indeed
grateful for the services performed .
2 . A copy of this Resolution be sent to Mrs . Louise
Wheeler with instructions to see that all members of that
department receive this message .
