0671 RESOLUTION NO . 61/
WHEREAS , several officials of the City of West Memphis recently
made a trip to Washington, D. C. in an effort to secure
TVA Power for the City of West Memphis ; and,
WHEREAS , the officials from the City of West Memphis were greatly
impressed by the cooperation and efforts put forth by
Senator Dale Bumpers , on our behalf, in this matter; and
WHEREAS , Senator Bumper ' s interest in representing the fine people
of the City of West Memphis and the State of Arkansas has
been paramount in his mind for a long time ; and
WHEREAS, we believe that the sincere efforts put forth by Senator
Bumpers , during our Washington visit , will cause TVA
Power to eventually become a reality in the City of
West Memphis , Arkansas .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS , ARKANSAS :

1. Wish to take this opportunity to publically express
our sincere appreciation to Senator Dale Bumpers
for his dedicated efforts in trying to secure TVA
Power for the City of West Memphis .
2 . Wish to commend Senator Dale Bumpers for the splendid
job he is doing in Washington for the fine people of
West Memphis and the State of Arkansas .
3 . A copy of this Resolution be sent to Senator Dale
Bumpers .
