0672 RESOLUTION NO . G '7„;),
WHEREAS, several officials of the City of West Memphis recently
made a trip to Washington, D. C . in an effort to secure
TVA Power for the City of West Memphis , and,
WHEREAS , the officials from the City of West Memphis were greatly
impressed by the cooperation and efforts put forth by
Congressman Bill Alexander, on our behalf, in this matter;
and,
WHEREAS , Congressman Bill Alexander interest in representing the
fine people of the City of West Memphis and the State of
Arkansas has been paramount in his mind for a long time;
and ,
WHEREAS , we believe that the sincere efforts put forth by Congress-
man Alexander, during our Washington visit , will cause TVA
Power to eventually become a reality in the City of
West Memphis , Arkansas .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS :
1. Wish to take this opportunity to publically express
our sincere appreciation to Congressman Bill Alexander
for his dedicated efforts in trying to secure TVA
Power for the City of West Memphis .
2 . Wish to commend Congressman Bill Alexander for the
splendid job he is doing in Washington for the fine
people of West Memphis and the State of Arkansas .
3 . A copy of this Resolution be sent to Congressman
Bill Alexander.
