0674 RESOLUTION NO . 04
WHEREAS , recently several officials and citizens of West Memphis and
Crittenden County made a trip to Little Rock , Arkansas , in
an effort to secure approval for a Vocational Technical
School in this area ; and ,
WHEREAS , those in attendance from West Memphis and Crittenden County
were greatly impressed by the efforts put forth by Brian
Williams , on our behalf , in this matter ; and ,
WHEREAS , Brian Williams ' interest in representing the fine people
of West Memphis and Crittenden County , in trying to obtain
a Vocational Technical School for this area , has been para-
mount in his mind ; and ,
WHEREAS , the Vocational Technical School services that would be pro-
vided in our community would become an integral part of our
citizens ' everyday lives , and the general well -being of this
community depends a great degree , on this educational facility ;
and ,
WHEREAS , we believe that the sincere efforts put forth by Brian Williams
during his recent visit to Little Rock , to obtain the approval
and acceptance of the Arkansas State Board of Vocational Techni -
cal Education , will cause the Vo-Tech facility to eventually be-
.
come a reality in the City of West Memphis and Crittenden County ,
Arkansas .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS , ARKANSAS ,WISH :
1 . To take this opportunity to publicly express our sincere
appreciation to Brian Williams for his dedicated efforts
in trying to secure a Vocational Technical School for the
City of West Memphis and Crittenden County , Arkansas .
2 . To commend Brian Williams for the splendid job he is doing
ona* for the fine people of West Memphis and Crittenden County .
3 . A copy of this Resolution be sent to Brian Williams .
