0675 RESOLUTION NO . t3 /75-
WHEREAS , Governor Clinton recently announced a program for the im-
provement of highways , roads , and streets in the State of Arkansas , to
include municipalities ; and ,

WHEREAS , the increase in revenue will come from a one cent ( 1 (t )
increase in gasoline and an increase in license fees ; and ,
WHEREAS , a definite amount of the additional revenue will be ear-
marked for municipalities in Arkansas and returned on a per capita basis ;
and ,
WHEREAS , it is believed this additional revenue will assist our
city in repairing and maintaining streets in our town ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council , of the City
of West Memphis , that the City Council does :
1 . ) Recommend to our legislative delegation in the Arkansas
General Assembly to support Governor Clinton ' s Highway ,
Road , and Street Program.
2 . ) Request that a copy of this resolution be sent to the follow-
ing people :
Senator W. K . "Bill Ingram
Representative Lloyd IicCuiston
Representative Kent Ruhens
Representative Jim Stockley
