Commissioners awarded Repair and Repainting of 500,000 Gallon Water
Ground Storage Tank bids to Utility Services, Inc. for $136,250.00.
Commissioners approved an addition to the Sewer Policy, which basically
states the customer is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing
damages to resume flow to their sewer line from the main to the customer's
house. City Attorney David Peeples stated he was in agreement with the
sewer policy.
Commissioners were informed that the Salt System has been installed in the
Water Department since Monday, and stated it is safer than chlorine.
Commissioners were informed that the generator approved to be installed on
site: the pad for the generator and transfer switch has been
poured, overhead distribution lines has been rewired, next Thursday the
generator should be delivered and put in place, first week of October the
transfer switch will be installed and rewired. Then, the Utility (facility) and
everything within the fence should be able to be powered from that
generator.
