AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS PUBLIC FACILITIES BOARD AND WARD
WIMBISH FOR CONSULTING SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE PUBLIC
FACILITIES BOARD,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in 2007 the City of West Memphis Public Facilities Board and Ward
Wimbish entered into an agreement for consulting services to be provided to the Public Facilities
Board for the marketing of properties of the Public Facilities Board and other purposes; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the agreement provided for compensation in the amount of
$25,000 per year, which has since been increased to $26,000 per year; and
WHEREAS, the Public Facilities Board reimburses the City of West Memphis for the
amount of the compensation for the consulting services in exchange for the City of West
Memphis providing administration and accounting services for the Public Facilities Board; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Legislative Audit has determined that an ordinance is
required approving the agreement between the Public Facilities Board and Ward Wimbish as the
Board's consultant;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS, THAT the City Council hereby retroactively
ratifies and approves, from the date of the agreement forward, the agreement between the City of
West Memphis Public Facilities Board and Ward Wimbish for consulting services to be provided
to the Public Facilities Board, and further approves for the City of West Memphis to handle the
administration and accounting services associated with the agreement on behalf of the Public
Facilities Board in exchange for reimbursement from the Public Facilities Board for any and all
amounts paid pursuant to the agreement.
