AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 987, AS AMENDED, THE
PRIVILEGE LICENSE ORDINANCE, TO ADD THE CATEGORY OF
FLEA MARKETS, CRAFT SHOWS, ANTIQUE SHOWS, GUN SHOWS AND
AUTO SHOWS, TO PROVIDE THE TIME AND METHOD OF PAYMENT
OF SUCH PRIVILEGE LICENSE, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY- OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 10 of Ordinance 987, as amended, is

hereby amended to add the following language:
Flea Markets, Craft Shows, Antique Shows
Gun Shows and Auto Shows, which shall not
include charitable or non-profit events
Each booth operator
$110.00
$1.00 per
day to be collected by
the operator. or manager
to be submitted to local
tax officials within 72
hours after the closing
of the event. If the
event is a continuing
event such fees shall be
due and payable on the
1st day of each month.
SECTION 2. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. It having been found and
determined by the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, that this amendment to the Privilege License
Ordinance is necessary to remedy discrepancies and to
properly administer the privilege license requirements
within the City of West Memphis, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from the date of its passage and approval.
