AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY ~~` NIEST MEMPHIS,

WHEREAS, Guaranty Loan instituted procee~ings~ e County Court
of Crittenden County, Arkansas, for the annexation of certain
territory to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, such territory is contiguous to the City of West Memphis

and it is proper and right and for the best interest of such city
that such territory be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the County Court of Crittenden County, Arkansas entered
its order of January 5, 1988, approving the annexation of such
territory as hereinafter described to the City and on February 4,
1988, entered its order confirming such annexation and it is
necessary that the city accept such territory before the annexation
can be completed and the territory hereinafter described become a
part of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the territory hereinafter described be, and it

to wit:
That part of the N 1/2 of Section 10, Township 6 North, Range 8
East, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said section 10, said point
being a point on the existing city limits, thence south 00
degrees 22 minutes 51 seconds west along the east line of Section
10 a distance of 839.83 feet, thence north 89 degrees 48 minutes
29 seconds west a distance of 1003.79 feet, thence south 00
degrees 11 minutes 31 seconds west a distance of 500.0 feet,
thence north 89 degrees 48 minutes 29 seconds west a distance of
300.00 feet to a point on the centerline of Airport Road, thence
South 00 degrees 11 minutes 31 seconds west a distance of 410.30
feet, thence west a distance of 2109.10 feet to a point on the
centerline of 15 mile bayou, thence north 23 degrees 47 minutes
02 seconds east a distance of 826.25 feet to a point on the south
right-of-way line of I-40, thence north 70 degrees 25 minutes

SECTION 11: That the territory herein described be, and it is
hereby, attached to and incorporated in Ward 1 of the City of West
Memphis and shall forthwith be considered and become a part therof.

FINAL ORDER OF ANNEXATION
On this day this matter comes on for hearing upon the petition of
Guaranty Loan & Real Estate Co. for the annexation of territory to
the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, and said party appears by its
attorney, Ralph W. Sloan, and this cause is heard upon the petition
for annexation by the owner of all of the land included herein, the
order of January 5, 1988, granting the annexation, the record herein
and other matters and things before the court, from all of which the
court, being advised in the premises, finds:
That since the order herein on January 5, 1988, granting the
petition for annexation herein and annexing the hereinafter described
territory to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, more than thirty
days have elapsed and no proceedings have been instituted to prevent

the annexation of such territory and it is proper that the annexation
herein be finally confirmed.
IT IS THEREFORE, BY THE COURT CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED that the order of this court entered herein on January 15,
1988, annexing the following described territory to the City of West
Memphis, Arkansas, to wit:

this court shall duly certify one copy of the plat of such annexed
territory, one copy of each order of this court and one copy of the
ordinance or resolution of the City of West Memphis, and forward same
to the Secretary of State of the State of Arkansas and shall forward
one copy of the plat of such annexed territory and one copy of each
of said orders of this court to the Director of the Tax Division of
the Arkansas Public Service Commission and shall forward a certified
copy of the orders of this court to the City Council of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, as provided by law.
