BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 1062 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to sell,
consume, or possess any beverage with alcoholic content in
any of the public parks under the jurisdiction of the West
Memphis parks and recreation commission, and/or any other
property owned by the city, however, such prohibition shall
not apply to any property subject to the rules and
regulations of the West Memphis Airport Commission.
SECTION 2. Any ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. EMERGENCY CLAUSE. It having been found and
determined by the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, that time is of the essence in this matter, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance
being necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health, safety and welfare of the Citizens of West Memphis,
Arkansas, shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage and approval.
