Chief West reported the police department is looking into getting (8) Chevrolet
Tahoe through a state contract, which will cost about $1,000.00 less, pending
council approval. The Tahoe is more economical, durable, and safer to operate
than the cruisers the patrolmen are currently using.
He further stated, there are currently four officers at the police academy. There
was one officer hired last week, pending requirements and 3 are in FTO Program
(Field Training Officer Program).
