2322 ORDINANCE NO. 023 a.
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH TAP FEES FOR CONNECTIONS TO
THE WATER LINES OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,the West Memphis Utility Commission has considered tap fees for
connections to the water lines of the City of West Memphis and has recommended to the West
Memphis City Council that the proposed tap fees be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. Tap fees for connections made to the water lines of the City of West
Memphis shall be as follows:
SIZE FEE
3/4 inch $700.00
1 inch $850.00
1.5 inch $1,150.00
2 inches $1,350.00
4 inches $2,500.00
6 inches $3,000.00
FIRE PROTECTION
6 inches $2,500.00
8 inches $3,000.00
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith and any fee
structure for water line taps established by the West Memphis Utility Commission in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
