AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE RATE CHARGED BY THE WEST
MEMPHIS UTILITY COMMISSION FOR WATER USAGE BY PRESENT
CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, after two public hearings upon due notice and
publication, the West Memphis Utility Commission approved
and recommended for adoption certain proposed rates to be
charged for water used by present customers outside the
city limits of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the proposed rates will standardize the rates
charged to present customers outside the city limits of
West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, it is found to be in the best interests of the
City of West Memphis that the proposed rates be adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The rate to be charged by the West Memphis
Utility Commission for water used by present customers
outside the city limits of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, shall be $0.85 per 1,000 gallons plus any
applicable meter charge.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or resolutions or parts of
ordinances or resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
