AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4 AND 5 OF PETRO
SUBDIVISION, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission
to rezone the hereinafter described property and after notice having
been published for the time and in the manner as provided by
Ordinance No. 1258 the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission and no persons appearing to protest the same the Planning
Commission recommended that said application be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Petro Subdivision, West
Memphis, Arkansas, as shown by plat of record in
Plat Book 3 at page 216, in the office of the
Recorder of Crittenden County, Arkansas, and being
27.74 acres of land located at Petro Road at
intersection with Club Road and Interstate 40,
be and the same is hereby rezoned G-2 Open Display Commercial
District..
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It is found and declared by
the City Council that. this property is in the process of further
development and that this ordinance is necessary for the orderly
growth and expansion of the City of West Memphis and for the
protection of the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City
of West Memphis; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
ADOPTED, this 4th day of October, 1990.
