2043 RESOLUTION NO. vZ O y
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
ENTER INTO THE POWER SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH NRG
POWER MARKETING, LLC, IN ORDER TO ALLOW SAID COMPANY
TO SUPPLY POWER FOR THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS ,AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis is scheduled to transfer to the
Midcontinent Independent System Operator on December 19, 2013;. and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary for the City of West memphis to have in place a power
supply agreement with NRG Power Marketing, LLC; and
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission has considered the attached power
supply agreement and recommended to the West Memphis City Council that the power supply
agreement with NRG Power Marketing, LLC, be approved and accepted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis finds that the attached power
supply agreement with NRG Power Marketing, LLC, is in the best interests of the City of West
Memphis and should be approved;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
power supply agreement with NRG Power marketing, LLC, and the Mayor is hereby authorized
to make any modifications, amendments or changes that may be necessary in the ongoing process
of finalization of the contract terms. Said agreement is hereby approved and is attached hereto
and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
