AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 4.04 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND.
BEING A PART OF LOT 2 OF THE FIRST ADDITION TO
WESTWOOD SHOPPING CENTER SUBDIVISION, WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, AND BEING 200 RICE STREET,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PUR}'OSES.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning
Commission to rezone the hereinafter described property and
after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1033 the matter was
heard by the City Planning Commission and no persons appearing
to protest the same the Planning Commission recommended that
said application be granted: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CODNCTL OF .THE. CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following .described property, to
wit:
4.04 acre parcel of land being a part of Lot 2 of the First
' Addition to Westwood Shopping Center Subdivision as shown by
~ plat recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 174, in the office of the
~„ Circuit Court Clerk & Ex-Officio Recorder of Crittenden
County, Arkansas, and lying in the NW1/4 of Section 13, T-6-
N, R-8-E, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of said Lot 2 that is
225.18 feet south of the northeast corner of Lot 2, thence S
87° 41' W along the extension of the south line of Lot 1 a
distance of 574.24 feet to a point on the east right-of-way
line of Rice Street, thence S 02° 24' E along said right-of-
way line a distance of 183.16 feet, thence continuing along
said right-of-way line along a curve that breaks to to left
with a radius of 1699.32 feet an arc length of 115.86 feet
to the southwest corner of Lot 2, thence east along the
south line of Lot 2 a distance of 557.31 feet to the southeast
corner of Lot 2, thence north along the east line of Lot 2 a
distance of 321.72 feet to the point of beginning, containing
4.04 acres more or less, and being 200 Rice Street.
be and the same is hereby rezoned RS-6 Single Family Residence.
SECTION II: That. all ordianances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: Tt is found and declared
~` by the City Council that this property is in the process of
development and that this ordinance is necessary for the
orderly growth and expansion of the City of West Memphis
and for the protection of the safety and welfare of the

inhabitants of the City of West Memphis; therefore, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from after ' is passage
and approval.
