AN ORDINANCE ACCBPTING AND ANNBXING TO THB CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS, A .67 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THB W 1/2 SB 1/4 OF
SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGB 9 BAST.
WHEREAS, Racetrae Petroleum, Inc., has instituted proceedings in
~rr the County Court of Crittenden County, Arkansas, for the annexation
of certain territory to the City of West Memphis, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, such territory is eonti~uous to the City of West Memphis
and it is proper and right and for the best interest of such city
that such territory be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the County Court of Crittenden County, Arkansas, has
entered its order of June 10, 1986, approving the annexation of such
territory as hereinafter described to the City and on July 10, 1986,
entered its order confirming such annexation and it is necessary that
the city accept such territory before the annexation can be completed
and the territory hereinafter described become a part of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
W83T MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the territory hereinafter described be, and it
is, hereby accepted as a part of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
to wit:
A lot located in the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section
6, Township 6 North, Ranfie 9 Bast, Crittenden County,
- Arkansas, and bein~i more fully described as follows:
Startin~i at the southwest corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 6, Township 6 North, Range 9 East and
running North along the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of said
Section 6 fora distance of 270 Peet to a point; thence, South
64 defirees 17 minutes Bast for a distance of 130 feet to the
point of be~innin~; thence, eontinuin~i South 64 defirees 17
minutes East along the North right of way line of Highway I-40 &
55 for a distance of 150.0 feet to a point; thence, North 1
degree 53 minutes East a distance of 200.0 feet to a point;
thence, North 64 defirees 17 minutes West a distance of 170.3 feet
to a point,~thence South 3 defirees 15 minutes East for a distance
of 208.8 feet to the point of beginning, containing .67 acres
sore or less.
88CTION II: That the territory herein described be, and it is
hereby, attached to and incorporated in Ward four of the City of West
Memphis and shall forthwith be considered and become a part thereof.
