AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE THE AREA AT SOUTHWEST CO:tD?ER OF
SEVENTH STREET AND BARYON BETWEEN P_~~D 10 MILE Rl~YOU
EXCEPT THE NORTH 350' OF SEVENTH STRE,~T 5~7ITF: 650' DEPTH
ON BARYON; AND DECLARING AN EMERCENC'"
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Com-
mission to rezone the hereafter described property from C-1
General Business District to I-1 General Industrial District,
and after notice having been published for the time and in the
manner as provided by Ordinance No, 1258, the matter was heard
by the City Planning Commission, and the Planning Commission
recommended that said property be rezoned I-1 General Industrial
District; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the following described property, to wit:
Area at southwest corner of Seventh Street and Barton
Between and 10 mile Bayou except the north 350' of
Seventh Street with 650' depth on Barton Street.
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned I-1 General Industrial Dis-
trict.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: It is found and determined by the City Coun-

cil of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that this property is
in the process of further development and the immediate passage
of this ordinance is necessary for the further development of
said property; the passage hereof is necessary for the growth
and expansion of West Memphis, Arkansas, and that the passage
hereof is in the interest of the public health, peace, safety
and welfare of the City of West Memphis and the inhabitants
thereof, 'Pherefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon its passage and approval.
