AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE THE EAST 209.0' OF LUT 5 BLOCK
1$6 OF THE NEa SECTION 17, T6nT, R9E, CRITTENDEN COUNTY,
ARKANSAS CONTAINING 1.15 ACRES MORE UR LESS,. (BEING
LOCATED AT 315 SOUTH WALKER); AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Com-
mission to rezone the hereinafter described property from
R-4 Medium Density Residential District to C-1 General Bus-
iness District, a.nd after notice having been published for
the time and in the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258,
the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission, and
the Planning Commission recommended that said property be re-
zoned C-1 General Business District; NOW, THEREI'ORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION T: That the following described property, to
wit:
The East 209.0' of Lot 5 Block 186 of the NE4 Section
17, T6N, R9E, Crittenden County, Arkansas containing
1.15 acres more or less, (being located at 315 So. Walker).
be, and the same is hereby, rezoned C-1 General Business Dis-
trict.
SECTION II: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: Tt is found and determined by the City Coun-
cil of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, that this property
is in the process of further development and the immediate pas-
sage of this ordinance is necessary for the further development
of said property; the passage hereof is necessary for the
growth and expansion of West Memphis, Arkansas, and that the
passage hereof is in the interest of the public health, peace,
safety and welfare of the City of West Memphis and the inhabit-
ants thereof. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force im-
mediately upon its passage and approval.
