AN ORDINANCE COMBINING THE SALARY AND CAR ALLOWANCE OF
AUBREY HOLT, CITY TREASURER, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1987,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The car allowance of Aubrey Holt, City
Treasurer, in the amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00)
per year, shall be converted into a combined salary of
Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) per annum.
SECTION 2. All Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances in ,.~
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Emergency Clause. It having been found and
determined by the City Council of the City of West Memphis,
Arkansas, that due to certain changes in the tax laws it is
more desirable to combine car allowance with salary, and, it
is necessary to get this adjusted before January 1, 1987,
therefore, an emergency is declared to exist, and this
Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City
upon its passage and
